Solent Gay Men's Chorus

About Solent Gay Men's Chorus!

Our aim is to bring gay, bisexual and transgender men together to sing, perform, socialise and raise money for local charities.

The Chorus

Solent Gay Men's Chorus was founded in September 2012 with the with aim of bringing gay, bisexual and transgender men together to sing, perform, socialise and raise money for local charities and has continued to grow from strength to strength.

We now have an active membership of over 30 men and we're always looking for new members of all ages from 18 years upwards of all abilities who love to sing - there is no audition to join us.

2022 is shaping up to be a busy year. So far we've already had a first post-pandemic concert, helped Eastleigh in celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, and we've still got five Pride events to perform at, as well as looking forward to celebrating our 10th anniversary in September!

In March 2018, the choir changed name from Southampton Gay Men's Chorus to Solent Gay Men's Chorus in a commitment to performing across the south coast and beyond.

We rehearse every Monday evening from 19:30 to 22:00, at Christ Church, Freemantle, Waterloo Road, Southampton, SO15 3BT, under the watchful eye of our Musical Director, Simon Irwin.
